|
|
You're invited to attend The Bridge Retreat being held March 19th to March 22nd at Jikoji Zen Temple in the Santa Cruz Hills. I have limited openings available for this 3 1/2 day retreat offering an introduction to the base of all meditative disciplines "Shikantaza" along with other mind and body practices. The most important thing is for you to relax, enjoy and experience your amazing nature.
There is a natural ease of being that is our birthright. The purpose of this retreat is to offer opportunities to connect with source. We will focus on breathing, posture, and mind-body synchronization through the ancient practices of mindfulness-awareness meditation, yoga, qigong and nutritional guidelines for a healthy diet. Basic ideas such as "how to connect and be at a state of ease without lifting a finger" will be introduced to support our approach. We will span the nexus of bodily participation, feeling body participation, mindful participation, and cultivation of selfless awareness. Sitting meditation will be taught with attentiveness to posture and caring for the body. In the natural setting of Jikoji Zen retreat center, we will slow down connect and come back to the basic and powerful simplicity of being.
