THE BRIDGE RETREATS
Experience yourself in the natural mountain setting of the Jikoji Zen retreat center, we will slow down and take time to reconnect to the natural ease of being, focusing on breath, posture, and mind/body synchronization. Zazen, or sitting meditation from the Soto Zen tradition, is taught with attentiveness to posture and caring for the body. Simple concepts such as the connection of "no mind, every mind" and "how to remain upright without lifting a finger" are introduced. The approach spans the nexus of bodily participation, feeling body participation, mindful participation, and cultivation of selfless awareness. In addition, opportunities to partake in the ancient moving meditation practices of Yoga and Qigong are interwoven into the schedule. The intention of this retreat is to allow contemplation of who we are, who we are together, and how we are during each precious moment of our life.
